Same here, we call it Soccer.. the name says all FOOT BALL, wich is a sport played by kicking the ball with the foot.

The american soccer is where you do tackles, and try to score the ball betwen the 2 poles above ground, or to reach the limit of the adversary area.

The American Soccer Looks like a foot, you kick it to the opponent to get a kickoff recieve.

Soccer all you really do is kick a ball, in essence it should be called Kickball.

Ludacris Tweety bird footballisthe best name because you use the foot to kick the ball throught the game.... while nfl should be called NSL (national soccer league) where by alot of soccer punch is been issued by oppositing teams. or handball because most of the game the players run with the ball in their hands.

Americans calls it soccer, but we europeans call it Soccer. And shatta is right, most of the american soccer you play it with the ball in you're hands, running towards the opposited team area, to score, and you trow the ball to you're team mates with the hands, while in Soccer only the goalkeeper can touch it with the hands.
Also in American soccer, a kickoff only occurs at the start of each half and before each overtime and after a touchdown or field goal.
