Sometimes software like that changes your computer's dns settings; even when turned off. I would try temporarily uninstalling it. See if that helps.

Well i uninstalled it, cleaned my dns cache, restarted my pc, and no that didn't fix it, i'm still having the same issue. I'm not sure what else i could do

Do you do a full uninstall? Deleting both the IMVU and IMVUClient folders? Also, are you using wifi or lan?

I am having the same problem!! Grrr! Also sometimes it says imvu has crashed try again later! Ive done everything I know but still having same problems!

what do i do when ive downloaded imvu, put my info in but it wont load and it says protocol error?

Did you download the light clamp from here the deep client from here or from imvu's official website?

ive downloaded it from where i got it before it started not working but it doesnt work, i havent seen anything to download here
