Well, it's a hard an philosophical question, let's see...

I think Max Payne 2 has the best story and plot of all the games I played [and they're a lot].
However, the game that I spend more hours with is, certainly, Quake 3, with a mod called Excessive Plus to be precise. It was hard to become a pro, but now I can handle with almost any FPS game with the skills I learnt.
But if you're asking me for what game is perfect for me, and keeps rocking for some years now I will say TES: Oblivion.
