Ok so there are 4 apples. there are 4 people. each one the 4 guys takes on apple, yet there is one remaining, how is this possible?

wow i thought the same thing first too... but i think i left out an important hint,
HINT: Leaving the apple doesnt neccesarily mean the guy didnt take it....
were thinking of whether there was any contact...
