Ever since seeing last year's "Snowden", I have. (I really enjoyed that movie, too, if you're into spy stuff.)

It just seems like a cheap fix, even if no one is peeking.

Me, but only my work webcam on my work computer. I do not trust the network admins at work. I even draw a little winky smiley face on the piece of duct tape.

I keep my webcam turned around facing the wall behind my monitor and I disable the audio in the sound devices.

LOL, I do too! Haven't seen Snowden yet, but have seen other movies about people sneaking looks thorough webcams.

I have been for years out of common-sense and minor paranoia. Even convinced my mother to do the same. Not that I imagine anyone will ever peek, but I would rather not have a terrible mugshot without makeup stolen. As for audio? Being a mute has it's perks.

I know ISP (Internet Service Provider) and the goverment can spy on our webcam and our microphone on our devices. It's been proven already several times. Even Facebook/Messenger spies on you. There been videos on youtube about it. Like even your screen is locked and you will be talking about something like a product, messenger will be listening to your conversation and a bot will process some information on what you are talking about that then you will start seeing some advertisements on the product that you were talking about. Anyway, to stick back to the topic. Yes I covered my webcam and microphone with tape. But I dont mind on my phone since I dont really hide anything or browse something that is bad on my phone anyways.

I refurbish Laptops at work and see many laptops with electric tape or a piece of post it paper with tape over their web cam.

I always tape my webcam and i also disable it inside Windows 10 settings and my webcam. I heard people can rat peoples pcs and watch them through it.. That crazy.
