I have so many custom mods and add ons for sims2 that until I can do the same for sims3, it seems obsolete. Has anyone played sims3?

I did.
Actually there are many mods and add ons for sims 3 too. You can play both, Sims 3 is better in my opinion, you have much more features than in the other Sims games, and the graphics are better too.
You don't need to worry about buying cloths, you have them all when you decide to change. There are many unique hairs, and much more if you download, you can even paint the hair at your like and add stripes to it.
You can choose the body you want, from "roundy" to slimy and from tinny to "worked up".
And all these features its what makes me enjoying it.
Oh and you can choose your make up too :P

How about the new Sims 4? :D

Y’know, it’s so interesting to see the development of the Sims and how much they improved! Their graphics are top quality now and the new packs are really entertaining.

Also, the community is super creative with all the mods and all the customizable stuff they create! I currently have a super cute alien girl as my main sim family.

My plot for her is that her planet was recently destroyed and has now called Earth her new home. She is currently learning how to interact with the humans on Earth and even has a couple of love interests in mind!

Oh, she also has a robot girl assistant. I added her in so she isn’t as lonely.

My first sims game was the sims3, i never got to experience the sims2 or the first one i was introduced to it when the sims 3 was out
