What are your Must-Have Software?

In need of input and opinions what your top MUST-HAVES software installed on your puter are...Im sure theres upgrades and new stuff im not aware of and want to tweak and try...

As of now ive got:
Firefox
CCleaner
7-zip
Revo Uninstaller
CutePDF

Visual Studio 2012
Paint.Net
IMVU (Only cause my work here forces it to be must-have)
Skype

There are quite a few other programs I always end up installing but I am not sure I would classify them as "must-have".

[No Not even IMVU makes the Must Have list. I usually go days without using it after I uninstall it every few days, as for Firefox I use it all the time.]

Can't stand GIMP's UI, separate windows for everything and they can't be minimized separately. Feels really clunky to me.

Have heard many converted from GIMP to paint.net and are pleasantly pleased. Started with GIMP, so may have to try it out. And thanks for all your input ill try some of these programs out. How bout input on an antivirus software?

I use Paint.Net and I would never go back. I have like 300 plug-ins installed and find it so much more user friendly. It doesn't feel cluttered and counter productive like GIMP does for me.

I use Avast as well but right now it's disabled do to it causing a system crash on Win8.
