Some how I maxed the view port so it takes up the entire screen and can't figure out how to get back down so the scene is docked to the left side of the screen and not covering part of the view port. Any help out there for this? I reloaded the default template and it takes up the entire screen now also. This is what it should look like.

Bottom right hand of the screen is an icon for maximizing and un-maximizing the viewport.

See the left hand side of that screen? I lost that. My max covers the entire screen. When I go back to the 4 view port, it still covers the entire screen.

I would try: F10 F11 F12 ALT+W
Those are the normal hotkeys for bringing back UI buttons within software programs.

No, I tried those, they do other things. Alt W switches from the 4 view to single view but it uses the entire screen, still don't have the left panel showing.

Found the problem. Some how it switched from design standard to work-space default. It is in the drop down menu in the upper left hand corner.
