Help with converting files!

I accidently converted my *ckhn files into CKHN files. Now im just wondering is that a huge deal and if it is how han i restore them back. Thanks

What do you mean by "converted"? I don't think such extension exists. If you just changed the extension letters in the end, just revert to CHKN. It should work.

Agreed. IMVU chkn's are just zipped files. Changing the filename extension shouldn't have actually changed them at all. Just rename them and you should be good.

Actually, i accidentally tried opening them with a different kind of program. But the extension is still the same ''CHKN''. Now im wondering did i made some big mistake, and need some program to return them to begging, or to open them with some other program, that will help me make no fuss about it? Also, im interested how can i create something that requires that kind of file, and where to upload it? Because i tried it in creator, but it doesnt seeem to work... Thanks for all the help and tips guys i really appreciate it. Im rather pretty much new in doing all these things. Wish you all best!

Opening the file in another program by itself wouldn't change anything. Since it sounds like it didn't even opened it at all, shouldn't worry.

If the extension is still a CHKN, try to open the chkn on IMVU Create. Click the "Open a Local Project" button in the middle of the three:

Select your chkn files, one by one. They should open each project (chkn) you have.

After that, if you want to see the project's files, click this button once said project is open:

Tada! Just as Souljah said, chkn are just some kind of zip file that IMVU likes, a way to say it. The actual files inside the product are there in the folder after you click the button from earlier.

Thanl you soo much... its working now.... Lets say, for example, i need to add 2 or 3 more files beside that one. What should i do than? And thank y0u sooo much for your help!

Well, that is way more technical. It depends on what you're working for, what you want to merge. There are plenty tutorials for this things around the internet, and some are on this forum as well.

Ok, ty for your help. I actually managed to upload one room, and now when i looked for it again , it wasnt there?? Hmmm... Anyway, thank you very much and wish you all best!

I had experienced this issue before. From my perspective, or some people in the peer review had voted the room as UFI (unsuitable for imvu), or the IMVU system detects this CHKN automatically.

The good thing is, I'm sure there is a way around this. I even remember it around this forum, a way to trick this system so the "CHKN" goes in the catalog just fine.

Sadly, I couldn't find it anywhere this time I was searching to help you further. Maybe I was mistaken, also.
But I'm happy to know I could help you progress.

Tnx for all the help, i really appriciate it. If you manage to in any case remember on how you did it i would be very gratufull! Once again, tnx a bunch. I actually managed to make a room and uploaded it, but it dissapeared after maybe less than a minute. So any kind of help is more than welcome.
