ok apologies for another long post, but I've never been one to express myself in one or two lines, especially if I want to be taken in the right context and have what I say properly understood, that's just me.

Well I am a developer and I do develop legit to make a profit as well as do what I do here. Therefore, I think I have the right to be "pissed off" as it were.
Fair enough, I've just gotten myself VIP for a month at least and decided to look into creating things, and I would agree devs do have a right to be pissed off. Gotta buy deriv's, then you have to pay to upload, and even if everything, mesh's, textures, animations etc are your's IMVU still takes a large chunk of the profit. Increase your price to earn more and it auto ups IMVU's cut, which I do think is bullshit. A one off fee for them hosting it, or buying peoples derivs fine, but they should at least have a free base derive for us to work off and one upped all profit should be the creators with a royalty paid if using a deriv to it's creator. IMVU can make their extra cash off ads and memberships.
Age verified adults should have the ability to do whatever they want on Imvu though. As long as it's consensual and they aren't hurting anyone then who cares?
Again agreed, adults should have the right to do whatever the hell with a product we pay for, it is my job not IMVU'sor other adults to raise my kids. If I don't want to see rude shit then I won't buy an AP and will stick to GA. But as I do want adult content I will buy AP
Just another example of a minorty ruining it for the rest with overboard PC'ness. I notice the ones who do complain are the ones who never seem to know what their kids are up to,nor take the time to be involved with them. Ironic huh? I find the solution is, no internet in my kids rooms, internet and computer use where I can see it. Pretty simple fix for them, but bitching about it until it goes away is easier for them than being a proper parent I guess
Just because children can sneak into R-rated movies does not mean all theaters should stop showing movies above pg-13. Children can also get adults to buy them cigarettes, do you think all cigarette companies are gonna stop selling them?
True, and I come from some where with a different rating system, but the point is, there is someone there physically each time that a film is shown whose job it is to try and stop kids from seeing such films, like kids also sneak booze, but not may liquor outlets will risk being shut down and will generally "card" those who appear to young. Kids are kids and need looking out for. Just they usually can;t see that until they are adults and parents themselves
Kids also just have to understand that they can't always have it all, and like the rest of us they just have to wait to grow up like we did. They'll have plenty of time to try and cyber with middle aged house wives after puberty
Besides, children are not gonna be so traumatized and hurt by seeing nudity in real life, it's just an American bullshit lie. So seeing a pixelated boob on Imvu shouldn't be an issue either. (Not saying they should be allowed you fuck on Imvu or see sex on Imvu)
I also agree, I mean I joined a discussion about the furkini's are AP argument on IMVU's forums, some chick who is a furry herself, which makes it more ironic, saying she considers it nudity and would never want to be seen in a genital and nipple free "Bugs Bunny"suit.
Again a case of the PC minority subjecting the common sense majority and pushing upon them their own hang ups and shame. Expecting everyone to think and view the world as they do
We humans can be stupid creatures sometimes. It's been proven that being relaxed about non sexual nudity is healthier for children than making itinto something to be ashamed of. After all we've all got"bits" and it could be argued that male nipples are erotic to gay men, thus are AP and should be removed too. I'm all for female toplessness in 18+ GA myself. I'd rather see boobs than a few thousand pale guys chests on facebook and IMVU anyday
I understand what you're saying though.
Likewise, and I appreciate that you do. It makes a refreshing change from most forum users responses I've experienced over the years.

Some people just don't understand that.
I do get that.....
....but As for VIP 4 "free", most get one month free just to remove their "guest" tag, but it's only 99 cents, 5000 creds is $5 to purchase, and from what I saw some where a reseller was buying them for 100k cred for about $41.50
Not a bad profit especially when considering how much 100k costs in a bulk purchase, and considering dev costs, understandable for devs and site hosters to do, especially those who are selflessly helping others and this was my point about someone making a tonne of cash and appearing to be just as greedy as IMVU but on a smaller scale and under the guise of being generous, saying bring down the system and thus shooting themselves and everyone else profiting in the foot. But if those creds are going back into an actual contributors pocket, then more power to them.
Almost tempted to break out my debit card and go nuts myself, unless they have a limit on how many "new" unique accounts can be purchased with a single card?
But if IMVU goes free, credits become worthless and nobody makes a cent?
I imagine most companies in that position sell up and shut down.
Again I'd think fighting for a smaller profit from reduced pricing makes more sense than ranting about brining the whole machine down.
Crippling or devaluing their economy is the way to mess with IMVU would be my advice, profiteering only serves the profiter and no one else. If I can get the hang of being an IMVU creator I might even join in.
Apologies if I have repeated anything I have already said
