I have disabled Windows updates and disabled outbound connections to their servers so I'm still using fairly old Win10 install.

If I ever had to update I would make sure all of my connection blocks were in place and I would enable all privacy settings and disable all telemetry updates and services.

To further increase my privacy I would do a few things:

1) Routinely shred all my cache directories where some telemetry data is stored before being transferred.

2) Delete all registry entries pertaining to telemetry or caching (see my thread on Windows locations to wipe: https://www.imvumafias.org/community/vie ... =29&t=7372),

3) Rely in virtual operating systems and vpns for accessing/transferring sensitive data from local and external sources.

I got rid of Windows 10 completely once it ruined my damn computer. Not fun. Not to mention it got rid of the Microsoft programs that I paid for (such as Word and Excel). I thought it was neat at first, since it came around about the time I didn't have a phone and the thought of being able to play games that were only available on your phone now on your computer excited me. Took me a bit to realize it was a mistake and overall pretty bad and I had to get my computer completely replaced since you can't downgrade after a month.
\v/ sorry for the little rant.

Why are they doing this. Seems like a breach of privacy.
