I am starting to keep track of new sellers as well as current sellers to sniff of potential scams. What I will be looking at is sellers ratings on the forum. If the seller has no post, if the seller has no karma, if the seller joined jus recently, no friends, little or no information in their profile. Hopefully my efforts will help with the scamming.

Recently a new account seller appeared. This is his ad

The seller has no activity on this forum. The seller joined a couple days ago and the seller has no karma.

The seller could be legit but there is also a possibility that one can be scammed.

His level activity is at 0 and somehow is able to post in the ads? how?

I don't agree with the idea that just because you have no 'activity' you're potentially classed as a scammer. A scammer is a scammer and will do it no matter what.

I'm in a situation right now with an 'active' member who brought something from me and filed a claim with their bank fot an unauthorized tranaction 2 months after... scammers are buyers as well.

All you can do is protect your transactions and save your messages, etc. Some people don't know who they're playing with when they try to scam others, if you know how I'm waiting for PayPal to finish their part to blast this buyer...

Having no activity doesn't automatically make you a scammer. It's just the majority of scammers have no activity.

Props bro. I fully support your idea with this thread. Perhaps we could also expand it by having members who have been scammed post their experiences here. Just a thought that I think would help our community.

Of course. Caveat Emptor. But, if you have found a scammer, no need to let someone else fall victim to the same buttwipe is there?

totally misread the subject as "Re: Black Market Sandwich!"
I'm just cutious, if a seller here is a scammer here, is it usually a one time deal? do they post something and wait for people to buy and then go inactive or get banned, then make another account to do it again, or do they stay online? And, can we read reviews from previous buyers or sellers? And I saw Cysia mention Karma points, are those what we would consider as a form of review? Like, high Karma = Good reviews? sorry for all the questions but i've decided to familiarize myself with this site today so im trying to figure out how stuff works. :excitedwave:

aka leon-win@hotmail.co.uk had over 48 hours to provide the account but went dark as soon as he received the agreed upon down payment. The ad has been flagged. Don't anyone else waste your time with him.
