This is a great plan.
If you're just learning to create, u can take advantage of lite and just practice so by the time you choose to invest in VIP and get your shop going,you can have a nice folder full of quality projects. My first projects weren't very good quality because I was just learning. No point in wasting the upload fee or vip cost during the learning phase.
