Just simply make the product from an empty product. Like the ones that imvu gives you. Gets rid of all the old product kbs. Also use online converters

Im assuming its the image that makes your product size higher than 2MB. you may have a high resolution image, you should reduce the resolution down to a reasonable size & the files size will decrease. If you see it still higher then what you need, you could set a higher Jpeg image compression on photoshop. If the image was from a royalty free site then its likely that you have a 16bit image which can be changed to 8bit to lower the size even further.

Great stuff already here.
You can try to go to the original product to derive from if deriving.
Search to see if the mesh is also available from other developers. There are many who buy meshes from other creators so chances are good that if you are using a popular mesher's work you can find it less costly for KB's as well as submission fees.
If not and it is a new product definitely start with the empty product. You can also use smaller image sizes with less pixels especially for smaller parts of the meshes.
Search for creators that advertise " Low KB's".
Please let us know if these things help?
